Paladins Analysis on its Console Action

One of the most common things you will listen to about Paladins Crystal Hack, is how similar it is to Overwatch. Now, we aren’t here to claim the finer things of this but instead are going to discuss how these similarities might draw in earlier Overwatch or Team Fortress 2 players, and what differences there are within Paladins Crystal Generator that you should be prepared to encounter.

Out of Game Progression

One area where Paladins varies most, is it’s out of game development. Paladins Crystal Generator is Free to Play, so there is absolutely no first buy in. However, not absolutely all Champions are available to be enjoyed instantly like in Team Fortress 2.

Instead, Paladins takes the same approach as Smite, a MOBA created by Hi-Rez Studios, who also make Paladins. You can play Paladins for free and slowly earn coins to uncover new Champions, or buy a lifetime forward that unlocks all current and future Champions for a cost. These earned coins may also be used to unlock aesthetic items for Champions, or used to get new cards.

Along with currency to get new Champions, you can also earn chests. These can be exposed at the primary menu, and will usually encourage you with identity cards and almost never with plastic items.

One of the most obviously variations between Paladins and other Hero Shooters is that there is a Card System that is obviously active.

Cards are available for every Champ in the overall game. The cards enable you to modify their skills, to raised fit your playstyle. For instance, you can adjust a Champ to be tankier, have lower cooldowns or improve the effects of their skills.

The best part of the card system is that you save 6 different configurations. This implies you can have drastically different ones well prepared, for situations where you’ll need that extra destruction, or in a match where you know lower cooldowns helps you to save your team.

Money & Items
The other major difference between Paladins and Overwatch, is that you earn money during a match. You may earn this passively, but also through actions like getting kills and proclaiming objectives.

Anytime you pass away, or are back again in your spawn point, you can spend this currency on in game items. These items only last for the current game and do not hold over into other matches. Each item will bestow a particular benefit, that can be increased in electric power with an increase of money. Something to keep in mind though, is that money is not a lot of and you’ll only make enough in a match to buy 2 or 3 3 items. This makes each choice very important and can greatly have an effect on the outcome of the match.

Concluding a match in Paladins is a two step process. The first target is a control point. You will need to manage it, then keep it until you’ve billed your team’s measure to 100. Naturally, while this is going on the foe can contest, halting progress and build-up their own gauge.

Whichever team get it, then controls the Payload that spawns. You are going to now have to motivate the payload in to the other teams area, or if you’re defending, you’ll need to stop the payload by eradicating the other team and not permitting them to get near to it.
